Researcher biography

Rebecca commenced her career in the UK in 2005 working as an Environmental Health Officer after successfully completing a BSc (hons) Environmental Health from the University of Salford.  Rebecca relocated to Cairns in 2009 continuing to practice environmental health for the state government. Curious and keen to learn more about some of the intricacies of environmental health she completed an MSc in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Monitoring in 2015 with a distinction. Rebecca continues to be employed by Queensland Health as an environmental health scientist in a policy role within Brisbane. She is still curious and keen to broaden her knowledge particularly in the area of pesticides and health monitoring.
