QAEHS PhD student Elissa O’Malley recently attended the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, Australasia (SETAC-AU) conference in Darwin, Northern Territory. Elissa presented her work at the conference on ‘Estimating input and release of UV filters from wastewater treatment plants’ and won the Best Student Presentation in the field of Environmental Chemistry.

“I thoroughly enjoyed attending the conference and gained further knowledge and professional insights. I highly recommend for students to attend SETAC conferences. Thank you to my supervisors for their support and SETAC-AU for providing travel funding,” said Elissa O’Malley.
