Determinants of exposure: phthalate exposure in pregnant women and flame retardant exposure in toddlers

Eva Sugeng is a lecturer and PhD student at the Department of Environment and Health, at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In her PhD, she focuses on the exposure of Dutch toddlers in the LINC-cohort (Linking Endocrine disrupting chemicals in maternal Nutrition and Child health) to flame retardant chemicals in house dust. She visits QAEHS, Brisbane and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), Melbourne, Australia, for a secondment in which she studies determinants of phthalates in pregnant women from the Barwon Infant Study (BIS).
