Estimation of alcohol and tobacco consumption by wastewater-based epidemiology
Please note this is a PhD candidate confirmation seminar.
Wastewater-based epidemiology has been widely applied to evaluate consumption of alcohol and tobacco consumption within a population. This approach provides near real-time estimation and valuable information to traditional monitoring approaches. This PhD project aims to use tobacco-specific biomarkers to estimate tobacco consumption and evaluate long-term trends of alcohol and tobacco consumption by WBE.
