Andrew is a leader in developing chromatographic applications and improving chromatographic separations, particularly for liquid chromatography mass spectrometry. He will be sharing some of his key insights on separation sciences, how to improve your LC applications and introduce some of the new technology LC columns his group has been producing.

Professor Shalliker completed his PhD in 1992 and a DSc in 2012 at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds. After a short stint in Industry at David Bull Laboratories he moved to the University of Tasmania as an Associate Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry. He received a postdoctoral fellowship from the Queensland University of Technology, where he researched the design of stationary phase particles. In 1997 he ventured to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as a research fellow, mentored by Distinguished Professor Georges Guiochon. In 1999 he joined Western Sydney University as a lecturer in Analytcial Chemistry. His research group has been a member of ACROSS since the early 2000s. He has published more than 180 papers in the field of separation science and analytical chemistry and has 10 patents.
