Dr Nicola Man and A/Prof. Amy Peacock will present recent works comparing methamphetamine in wastewater with methamphetamine-related harms data. They will also discuss the context of the broader program of work under Drug Trends at National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) and potential future works triangulating with wastewater data.
Nicola Man is a biostatistician under the Drug Trends Program at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC). She has been involved in the monitoring of emerging trends in drug use, markets and harms in Australia.
Amy Peacock is an Associate Professor, NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and Deputy Director of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. She is Program Lead for Drug Trends, a national illicit drug monitoring system which has operated for over twenty years and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
