Researcher biography
Dr Bastian Schulze has a background in Biotechnology with a major in Forensic Sciences (Bachelor), and Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry (Masters). He is currently working as a forensic expert in toxicology at the State Criminal Police office in the German State of Lower Saxony.
Bastian's PhD focused on the Evaluation and Implementation of methods to increase the comprehensiveness of non-target analysis, an approach that will likely be used more widespread over the next years in all fields employing analytical chemistry. Bastian maintains an interest in improving non-target analysis whether it is for the research of contaminants in the environment or the detection of illegal substances in diverse matrices.
