Dr Emma Knight is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). In her role at NIVA, she is applying innovative analytical methods for the monitoring of persistent and mobile substances for the ZeroPM project.

Emma’s expertise and research interests include understanding the fate of environmental pollutants, particularly PFASs, for soil remediation, wastewater monitoring, passive sampling, and compostable paper products.

Emma holds the position of an Adjunct Fellow at Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS), The University of Queensland, and is collaborating on several projects relating to the circular chemistry of environmental contaminants in compostable paper packaging, food organics and gardens organics (FOGO) and compost.
