Researcher biography
Belinda comes from a background in creative writing, with a bachelor’s degree and an honours degree from the Queensland University of Technology. They completed a PhD in 2016 through the Queensland University of Technology by both creative practice and exegesis, where they examined and wrote young adult fiction from an ecocritical perspective. While teaching in Shanghai, they became interested in studying emerging contaminants in wastewater. They completed a Bachelor of Applied Science through the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology while living in China and are now doing a PhD through QAEHS in wastewater studies.
