Researcher biography
Chantal initially embarked on a film and television degree after leaving school, before deciding that it was neither challenging nor rewarding enough. She instead undertook a Bachelor of Science majoring in chemistry, graduating in mid-2018, and then began working for Urban Utilities in the chemistry/environmental sector. After four years working in the analytical lab and the trade waste section, she decided to return to academia and use her industry-obtained knowledge to contribute to an important, emerging cause. She is now researching CECs in wastewater, contributing to the ARC linkage project which will develop a trade waste library of CEC profiles and establish CEC baselines in STP catchments, as well as trade waste point sources and any domestic trends.
