Researcher biography
Grace is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Queensland. Grace completed her PhD at the University of Birmingham, where her research focused on the suitability of standardised testing methods to measure the biodegradation of synthetic polymer microparticles in agricultural soils. At QAEHS Grace is investigating analytical techniques for the detection of micro and nanoplastics in human matrices. Grace’s wider research interests include plastic associated chemicals, and methods to monitor the environmental fate and transformation of biodegradable polymers.
