Steve Li is a Senior Research Assistant at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS). He is working on the Halton Foundation project focused on atmospheric semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). His work primarily involves developing removal strategies for airborne pollutants, as well as the extraction and chemical analysis of environmental samples.

Steve completed his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Pharmacology, at Monash University in 2022. He continued his studies at Monash with a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science, graduating with distinction in 2024. During his time at Monash, he conducted six months of research in nanoparticle drug delivery, focusing on the synthesis of polymer-based carriers for caffeic acid.

His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of environmental monitoring and public health. He is particularly interested in developing exposure mitigation strategies and plans to pursue a PhD to support evidence-based approaches in environmental health.
