Researcher biography

Andrew Banks began at QAEHS (formerly ENTOX) in 2012 as a Research Assistant, working on a range of consultancy and research projects, before beginning his PhD in 2017. Andrew’s PhD is on the exposure to potentially toxic combustion products in firefighters, focusing on PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and flame-retardants. He draws upon more than a decade of experience in analytical chemistry and environmental sampling, which he is using to tackle his PhD research.
