Andrew is a principal chemist at the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission in the Racing Science Centre. 

Andrew has completed a PhD at QAEHS on the exposure to potentially toxic combustion products in firefighters, focusing on PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and flame-retardants. As a former PhD Student at QAEHS,  Andrew maintains a keen interest in research. Andrew's adjunct position with QAEHS allows him to remain involved in supporting his research interests, which include occupational chemical exposure, environmental chemistry, and analytical chemistry methods.
