3 Minute Thesis Competition

QAEHS PhD students Andrew Banks, Phil Choi, Yan Li, Elvis Okoffo, Francisca Ribeiro and Kristie Thompson presented at the annual School of Pharmacy/QAEHS 3 Minute Thesis competition on Wednesday. Francisca Ribeiro won the People’s Choice award and commented, “The 3MT was a great chance for practising my presentation skills in front of a big audience. I was very happy to know that I was able to pass the right message!”

The competition is beneficial for the students Elvis said, “Participating in the three minute thesis competition gave me the opportunity to master my skills in communicating information to tell a complex story.”

The 3MT® is an academic competition that challenges PhD students to describe their research within three minutes to a general audience. 3MT® celebrates the discoveries made by research students and encourages their skill in communicating the importance of research to the broader community.
