This PhD project aims to understand the exposure of the Australian population to contaminants of emerging concern like benzotriazoles (BZTs), benzothiazoles (BTs), benzotriazole UV-stabilizers (BUVs), organophosphate esters (OPEs) and sunscreen UV filters (SUVs) by establishing the trends of exposure through the use of age- and gender-stratified urine samples that were collected from 2012 to 2023 and serum samples that were collected from 2002 to 2023. Exposure trends in Australia will be compared to existing exposure trends in other countries.  Using these trends, the exposure sources will then be explored.
