Researcher biography

A/Prof Dung Phung has a background in medicine and public health, with experience in clinical practice, health policy, and teaching in epidemiology and environmental health. His research focuses on the health effects of occupational and environmental pollution, climate change, and health interventions. He specialises in epidemiologic methods, systematic reviews, health risk assessments, and policy evaluation, with recent studies on extreme weather events and climate-sensitive health risks.

Dr. Phung has secured over $20 million in research grants, including $8.5 million as a principal investigator. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers.
