Researcher biography
Simran Kaur holds BSc (Hons.) in Agricultural Sciences and completed her Masters of Environment degree from Griffith University (Australia), majoring in Environmental Protection, in 2021. In her postgraduate program, she investigated the diverse array of waste management stakeholders' perceptions of plastics and microplastics management in Queensland, Australia.
She also holds Executive Diploma in Food and Agribusiness Management and Certificate in Food and Nutrition. In addition, Simran tutors for one of the research courses at Griffith University and casually works in an environmental consulting firm as an environmental consultant/scientist.
She is now undertaking a PhD at QAEHS, started in July 2022, investigating tyre and road wear particles in the environment, focusing on soil, sediment, and road dust. Her research interest includes microplastics, soil science, ecotoxicology, and waste management.
