The QAEHS HDR Student Best Publication Awards (for papers published in 2020) were awarded on Friday. QAEHS student Francisca Ribeiro won first place with Bastian Schulze achieving second place and Elvis Okoffo and Rose Nguyen tied for third place for Best Publication from ten submitted publications. Each student will receive a certificate and a $1,000 prize.

Francisca Ribeiro - Quantitative Analysis of Selected Plastics in High-Commercial-Value Australian Seafood by Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry published in Environmental Science & Technology.

Bastian Schulze - An assessment of quality assurance/quality control efforts in high resolution mass spectrometry non-target workflows for analysis of environmental samples published in Trends in Analytical Chemistry.

Elvis Okoffo - Release of Plastics to Australian Land from Biosolids End-Use published in Environmental Science & Technology.

Rose NguyenInfluences of Chemical Properties, Soil Properties, and Solution pH on Soil−Water Partitioning Coefficients of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs) published in Environmental Science & Technology.

The HDR Student Best Publication Awards are maintained by annual funding from QAEHS to encourage and reward HDR students who are the primary authors of high-quality publications.
