Numerous QAEHS researchers and PhD students presented their findings on a range of issues related to wastewater-based epidemiology. QAEHS PhD student Fahad Ahmed remarked, “Despite the COVID time, TTW5 gives the full flavour of a true face-to-face conference and provides an international platform for PhD students to present their research and for further collaboration and networking.”

QAEHS Research Fellow Dr Jake O’Brien said “Testing the waters 5 showed that despite global pandemics, wastewater-based epidemiology keeps moving on and can play a critical role in how we monitor disease outbreaks. The hybrid conference platform ran really smoothly, and it was really great that presenters, regardless of whether they were in the room or Zooming in from the other side of the globe, were able to do Q&As sessions at the end of each section.”
