QAEHS PhD student, Honglin Chen, has won the LGC Microplastics Poster Competition for her work on Understanding spatial and temporal trends of atmospheric microplastics in laboratories. Honglin beat out more than 100 entrants from 15 countries and 11 other finalists selected to present their research on detecting, tracking and mitigating microplastic contamination.
Honglin has been awarded microplastic reference materials to support her continued research into microplastics as well as a gift voucher. Honglin commented that “it was a great opportunity to present this work and learn from other researchers working in the field. I am truly honoured to receive this award and am grateful to my supervisors for their guidance.”
