The current issue of Environmental Science & Technology features a Letter to the Editor co-authored by QAEHS Honorary Fellow Saer Samanipour and QAEHS Director Kevin Thomas in collaboration with colleagues from The University of Stockholm and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam expressing their optimism for Nontarget Analysis in Environmental Chemistry. The letter is in response to a recent opinion piece questioning the reproducibility of nontargeted screening (https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.est.8b05671) and contributes to a public dialogue by constructively exploring some of the Viewpoints discussion points.
