Chemosphere special issue 'Non-target analysis'

17 Feb 2023

Submit your papers for Chemosphere's upcoming special issue on Applications and challenges of non-target analysis with high resolution mass spectrometry for addressing chemicals of emerging concern.

The submission deadline is 30th June 2023.

Relatively few ‘chemicals of emerging concern’ (CECs) are adequately characterized with respect to their environmental fate and toxicity. Non-target analysis (NTA) using high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS)-based approaches are increasingly used to evaluate spatial and temporal trends in exposure to contaminants and is becoming a powerful tool in environmental risk assessment. The implementation and application of robust NTA workflows are imperative to ensure consistency of results. In this special issue we invite papers reporting state of the art advances in NTA methods, including suggestions for robust method development and application of QA/QC measures for data processing and interpretation. We particularly welcome case-studies presenting the application of NTA for characterisation of CECs in environmental and biological samples.
